Here she is after a fine sanding and polish

And with some stickers added, wouldn’t have been my choice but what can I say, I got the brains. Might also whack on a fibre scuff in an attempt to keep it alive this time.

Seems a good job, well done. I have an Aldred butterfly and whatever you think of the guy he can certainly make a great bat.
Personally I do whatever I can to keep original stickers though.
The guy wrnching thing now is that your brother will treat it no better than before!

I tend to remove the stickers regardless, but this one was so grotty I’d have had no choice anyway.

Hopefully it’s lesson learnt but I doubt it, have at least extended its life a bit.

Agree about PA, the bats a belter, and lovely balance for LB.

  • Clear your mind, stay still and watch the ball

It concerns me a little that your brother will walk out to bat and not notice that the bat doesn't have a grip on it...

🤣

It does now. He’s probably still belt a ton with a grip less bat, the big oik!

He told me was too broken for repair this time. So I took it and got him a new Scott bat for his birthday. Had to square off the toe to remove a shallow but nasty crack but otherwise scrubbed up well and will be going in my bag.

Scott bat for comparison, also a LB and a similar shape. Again won’t win any awards for grains/looks but goes really well.

Jonny makes a cracking stick if you look past grains and preconceptions. I've got a G3 from him that is an absolute gun.
