Gray-Nicolls Blue Maax Players bat 2lb 12oz
« on: April 25, 2023, 07:02:41 PM »

This was acquired from G-Ns eBay.
There was a group of these sold, not individually, so somewhat of a blind purchase as I didn't know which one I would receive. I could pick the weight.
Am impressed with it, given the specs.
Backstory from G-N (when I questioned the Players grade aspect, which was not available in UK retailers) was that it was in a batch originally for sponsored / pro players to select from. As these were heavier in the 2lb 11oz - 2lb 13oz range, they were left on the shelf. Although I didn't make the purchase purely because of this, I can believe it based on the bat received. There are a few storage marks and some loose stickers, not a problem for me given the circumstances and terms of the sale.
Haven't used it but responds well and has a decent pick up for the weight.

That looks a lovely stick - with Alex’s stamp on it too. I think all GN look better without those blue flashes on the back, like my MAAX Offcut now I’ve destickered it.

I think that truly is a “pro bin” bat.

Alex's stamp is definitely an H. Well done with that beast.

There’s still 2 left…… 2:11 & 2:12………

If the players tag is as described above, they must be Robertsbridge made bats, so a steal at £299. (Somebody hide my credit card please……)
