Dutch Willow
« on: September 14, 2024, 04:04:34 PM »

Wiliams and co has recently been marketing Dutch willow heavily. Anyone bought any of these bats/clefts and can share your thoughts?

Haven't bought one but they do look pretty good, certainly sound better on the ping tests than Kashmir.

One of our lads was trialling one at our club. Ping was good. It wasn't the lightest and the offset edge profile meant lower sweet spot which didn't help the pickup.

The conditions are similar to the UK if not a little warmer in the summer and a little colder in the winter. Same type of willow as in the UK I believe.

It had a large number of grains which I think has to do with the willow over here. They've been growing for longer and are normally cut down to reduce their height.

They are relatively new to the market but seem to be learning fast.
