Thigh pads/batting shorts
« on: January 10, 2024, 08:14:10 PM »

Thinking of replacing my old aero strippers; I have the old style ones with the extra bit of protection at the top of your hip which I like cos it knacks getting hit there! Stuck with them for years but thinking about swapping to all in one batting shorts for comfort: am thinking with those there would be no pads moving around, easier to get on and off, always stay in place.
Anyone got any recommendations for some good batting shorts or had any experience of using them?
Cheers :)

Used to use the kookaburra shorts which were ok - must admit when I moved over to the Kooka dual thigh pad set (thigh and inner thigh set like the strippers) I found them much more comfortable as they moved better than the pad inside the shorts and hence seemed to give better protection. I’ve since moved over to the moonwalkers and they’re absolutely excellent, best I’ve used by some margin.

I've just been gifted some Masuri thigh pads — E line.

Worn them a few times in nets but they seem very good so far.

Have had Remfry’s, Strettons, Kookaburras etc but the best I found were Aero P2’s, not as bulky as the P1’s and great protection. Don’t move or lose shape anywhere near as much as the others.

Got a pair of Moonwalkr recently, think they're great. Very very lightweight, only complaint is they don't mould as easily as aeros.

I use batting shorts and put the old style strettons in the pockets. By far the most comfortable way of wearing thigh pads I’ve ever used. I don’t know I’m wearing anything
