What are people's preferences for palm material of their batting gloves?

With Pittards now having gone out of business end of last year after nearly 200years, there will be a shortage of the Pittards palmed gloves. Any new innovations on the horizon for better grip/better sweat absorbancy? Different preferences for different climates?

As much as I like pittards on gloves, it would be really good to see similar soft palm material from a non-animal product. Modern cars have some super soft synthetic fabrics, often using recycled material. I'd love to see some of these filtering into the higher end cricket products (I've noticed some at the cheaper end of softs). Although as well as cost, I would guess durability would be a factor. I always feel the grip on the bat is more important than the palm but I am not a massively sweaty person.

I am not sure there is a shortage of Pittards.  From what I can see from the administration documents the IP in the business and manufacturing sites in Ethiopia were acquired last year

Given the leather was processed in West Africa before being shipped  to South Asia to be made into to gloves, the loss of the site in Yeovil doesn't seem to me to be a huge problem.

Although would be better if vegan alternatives which are just as good if not better and durable are developed as mentioned - hopefully through an industrial process that is kind to the environment as well.
