Damage control
« on: March 26, 2010, 11:54:54 PM »

Decided to go slogging ion the nets few weeks ago. Middled a huge swipe and this is what i ended up with.

The bats a fusion superbest, and its probably the best bat i have ever owned, so I need to bring it to life again! There is no further cracks on the back of the bat from the break, just the whole piece seemed to fall off :s I was wondering if i glue it back on, would it be good as new? Ive got titebond ultimate 3 will this do the trick? Any help is appreciated!

Now thats a first! I have some of the same wood glue mate, and it is extremely strong, I used it for a practice re-handling and it seems fine, holds well, so yes I would see why it wouldnt work. You would need to clamp the bat though, probably all the way up the broken area, so make sure you protect the bat from the clamp otherwise it could turn horrible.
