out for the season?
« on: June 01, 2010, 06:40:59 PM »

playing a six a side tournament yesterday, went to dive in for a quick single my hand got trapped between the bat, me and ground. went to a&e and xrays show a break in my hand. Got a temp cast on until Thursday then another xray and proper cast. anyone got any ideas how long I'm out for?

cheers :(

depends on the break was it clean as the normal time for a break to heal is about 6 weeks they say but can be sooner from experience plus where in hand

clean breaks are normally 6 weeks but you have picked one of the only bones i have not broke lol but thats what the hospital usually say to me fractures are longer so will have to see what they say but cant see you being out for the season mate when i snapped all three main bones in front of foot was only out for around 4/5 months so should be ok

I broke my wrist in 2 places and cast was on around 9 weeks, and it was a lot longer until i trusted it again so you will be very lucky to play in part in the rest of the season but hopefully I'm wrong.

Dean, how did you end up breaking your hand? Diving practice needed when your fit again...
