I once left my mobile with an umpire and he left before I got it back (complete accident).  Anyways the next day I went to his house to pick it up and he had his own net there.  It was a bit rough looking but made me kinda jealous!

He had metal poles up as you would expect and netting bit like football/fish nets surrounding it and a propper astroturf mat.  Would be great to spend time at home facing the bowling machine

One of ur richer members at our club has a tennis court and a bowling machine - seems to work pretty well without a mat - but yes, i think we would all love a net in the garden.....set it on half volley all day and build up that confidence :)

Lol, that would be awesome! My Mum wouldn't have to groan and give me a little practice between matches! The prices are immense though (I think about 1000 including a bowling machine, right?)

£1000 for a bowling machine alone

Uses two big round disks which the ball is fed in between :)
In order to make the ball swing one disk spins faster than the other

Something ive toyed with for a while with having tons of garden space, what always stops me though is that i dont intend to live here long so wouldnt want to splash out on a net and bowling machine just to leave it when i move out
