Perhaps the protection sheet is there to protect the bat. It came free with the bat and it was my friends choice to apply, not mine- I had one on my CA and it has extended the life massively. Whoever says the grains don't look great should really pay a trip to the opticians. Admittedly the pictures aren't that clear.

Not sure how people can comment on the grains as its very difficult to see them with the cover on the bat, id personally never ever use a cover of that type but they do exactly what there intended for so it personnel choice. Ive got nothing but positive feedback on ss bats however my ton matrix has now split and in need of a repair but that's not down to the manufacture just my bad luck and me lending it to a clown .

I have an SS Limted Edition and bought my eldest son an SS Heritage. I have used both in matches and whilst the LE is more pleasing aesthetically (e.g straight grains) they both go like freight trains and are simply outstanding. They have an amazing profile and great pick up. For the $ I pay on line and even with the freight to Australia (+ Bank Charges) I and others who have used my/my sons SS bats find them exceptional (and very good value for money, if not the best value for money). I am becoming somewhat bewildered when I look at what I have used and bought in the past.
