Does anyone know if Newbery do refurbs and if they can replace the stickers on the bat?

ayrtek, do you think they can rehandle non-c6 bats with a c6 handle?

they def do (ive had bats done in the past) and a good job they do too

the new Newb stickers are more like carbon black and they will put those on if you ask.
Not particularly cheap,not too expensive.
You get what you pay for sometimes.
Approx 35-40 quid I think...

wazza no this isnt possible as the C6 bats dont have a splice in them....where as a non C6 bat obviously does! Square peg and round hole springs to mind....if you want a C6 handle your going to have to buy a bat with one on it....there is one for sale on the forum seeing as they dont come up for sale too often as a discontinued product.

i have been told from a reliable source, that c6 bats are still made in secret.
hence how do the top of the range puma bats get carbon handles?

the MCC changed the rules on handle composition so I don't think they are used in top of the range bats now. They are letting them fizzle out in club cricket but you can't use them in 1st class.
Not sure why anyone would want one anyway, they are mostly 'tinny' and not convinced you get any extra power.Newbery had loads of returns when they first came out for breaking but they sorted that out.I played against a bloke who had a carbon GN fusion this season, the handle came off in his hand and he chucked the bat in the bin.My mate picked it out of the bin and sent it to GN for a normal cane handle!!!!!
