I think it is a brilliant thing you have set up, I think the website looks good and that the service you offer seems to be genuine. However, as most people have highlighted, I think the prices are far too high. £35 for the repair, then you have to add postage each way. That is more or less £50. I know you were mentioning the valet service, but all bat repairers will offer a full refurbishment with a repair as standard.

I think that everyone starts a business to make money, however, you are not going to make a huge profit from a repair. For instance, I have been doing refurbishments and repairs now for 3 years, and I charge £20 for a refurbishment and £25 for a repair with full refurbishment. I send the bat via courier which is £8 with insurance, and then around £2 worth a sandpaper per bat, leaving me around £10 per bat.

it's not going to put me on the beaches of barbados for sure...

as mentioned by others, if your bat has a broken handle, cracked toe & edge and needs a refurb £35 looks god value.

thanks for the comments on the site, appreciated.

It does give another option!
And if we need a rehandle, have some damag to the edges or elsewhere AND needs a refurb - then £35 seems reasonable indeed! I did have a quick question on the handle side of things! Which new handles are used? I only ask this as there are good and not so good quality handles out there! And would we get a choice if we wanted oval/semi/round and stiffer or more flexible handls?

you're right about quality of handles.

specify what you want and that's what you'll get, all new handles going into repairs are hand made in the workshop.
