Opinioms on Kookaburras kangoroo leather
« on: December 29, 2010, 06:55:54 PM »

Hey guys,
Went to my local shop and had some money with me and picked up a set of the kahuna batting gloves. And just wanted to give my opinion on the kangoroo stuff in general. Firstly the batting gloves, I'm comparing this with pittards palms (original le and old ricky ponting kahunas) and a pair of slaz pro x lite gloves not sure what the palms were but not pittards. Now onto the actual gloves the palms seem to be more sticky than pittards and the other gloves, haven't tried them with a bat yet but from rubbing my hand on the palm this is what I think.. Now inside the glove the palms seem a lot softer than the pittards in my other gloves which obviously is good although it could just be down to them being new.overall seem great and can't wait to use them :)
Now onto the keeping gloves, didn't buy these but did try them on. Comparing these too kook silvers and puma 5000. They feel amazing I must say, being a keeper myself I find gloves flexing and being comfy and these seemed to be the most flexible and comfy out of all the gloves I've used, and these were straight from  the bag. Also seemed differemt inside like a softer sort of feel. I am slightly annoyed at the fact that they are only avaliable in short cuff, but tbh long cuff will have added to already high price, and might not have been allowed.
Finally the price, yes its very very high, but I managed to wiggle some discount. I would say if you can find them for cheaper than usual buy., but if not high in price not worth the full price tag I have to admit. Anyone else have opinioms on them or questions I can try to answer them for youm and this is just my opinion on them others may differm

Thanks Chip :)
And if post looks weird I'm on my blackberry and its weird.

Thanks for this Chip, I was looking at these for a while, but I couldn't justify spending £110, which is the cheapest I have seen them.

I have just spent £70 on a pair of Geoff Wymer customs (he has just had a load of new leather in as well) and looking forward to getting them.

Noticed Steve Davies was wearing them today as well
