couldn't agree more with petehosk. unless you can get into a routine there is no point in going to the gym. but if you dont have the space at home your 'home gym' will be a bit rubbish and you will therefor be unmotivated. as or the kind of stuff you can do, i would just stick with the big compound movements and some HIIT training for cardio. and Tumo what about kettlebells? surely they would be good for cricket training as they focus on the back, core and legs?
Forgot kettleballs, not something I use regularly, I can't get the hang of them!

I bought one of the total gyms a while ago, they take up alot less room, and got to say they are quite effective! - You dont know what your lifting exactly but its an easy work out, and great for bowlers.

Colesy - Is there any area of fitness you are trying improve specifically? Just general fitness, coming back from an injury or trying to prevent further injury?

I'm fairly interested in fitness and the correct type of training for varying sports - read a fair bit in my spare time. I think could provide some useful general information and also some good references in terms of material that may interest you.

The great thing in hitting is, not to be half-hearted about it; but when you make up your mind to hit, to do it as if the whole match depended upon that particular stroke.
