It is grade 3 but I would pay more for that than most grade 1's, you have to understand that the heartwood content has lowered the grade because it is a visual grading. But it has very tight, even and straight grains and will play better than any other type of willow. And after all, we only care about scoring runs when we bat, right??? And clefts of this nature are 1 in 250 clefts.
My Laver Firefly, £220, is the same and only has 16 grains, it goes like Clarkson in an Aston.
