When I said "that's right" I meant to Ayrtek's comment.  It clearly doesn't go down as far due to this "scalloping"... Still trying to get my head around this quoting thing on here!

I Personally Use A Black Titanium Masuri And Its Just Perfect For Keeping In... IMHO

I've just switched from an Albion to an Ayrtek mate and really like it, I never did like the Masuri for keeping though so I believe as with most things it is very much down to personal opinion.

Only downside I would say on the Ayrtek is that it is slightly more fiddly to undo and redo the strap on it when wearing inners than my Albion was but this may be something I get used to in time.

I have an Aero KPR2 mask.
Took me ages to get it as are discontinued now, had to buy off ebay in the end.
Only used it once for 1 over.
As is really awkward to wear and feels uncomfortable and vision is poor due to a vertical metal bar virtually in the eyeline.
Not sure whether to persevere with it.
What do users of this mask think about it, did you find it took long to get used to?
Am thinking of getting that hockey-type GN one or a Masuri WK helmet instead?

On a slightly different note, I read somewhere that the grille helps to pick up the length, if you are 'tuned' in to the lid (as I have been wearing one from a young age), then there is a bonus with the lid, which will improve aspects of keeping.

Wore my Ayrtek for keeping yesterday. Found it better than my Gray Nicolls. Our home track for once was a bit unpredictable and the two openers were batting well out the crease so it would have been rude not to stand up to the quicks (well as quick as we get in our 1st's)

Still wary of losing sight of the ball down the leg side. Perseverence is the key...........I think.

P.S, both openers were just as effective on the crease as they were a foot out of it :)

But I would say the Ayrtek is a cracking helmet to keep in as well as bat in.

On a lighter note, I got sledged by the opening bat when the Ayrtek came out ' thats a bit posh mate'

 Good banter though ;)

Will definately check out the Ayrtek now I have got rid of my Aero. Toss up between Ayrtek and Masuri WK lid at the moment. Hopefully will try before I buy this time! Plus can use them for batting too, so will be a more cost-effective choice that having a batting lid and an Aero.
