Yes but not at that weight :D

The new banner does the job. Draws the eye. Hence the thread.

Lalalalala can't hear you.

On a serious technical note though, you say they will finish about 2'10 but if a customer came along wanting 2'8 would you be able to bring them down a bit more, or would you have to start from scratch with a different technique?

I've always wondered about the 'they will finish at...' phrase.

i always try to finish 2-3 oz under the weight required ,to allow for binding (about 1 oz) chevron grip (1-1 1/2 oz) stickers (bout 1/2 oz) scuff sheet (bout 1/2 oz ) Ribbed grips can be 1 1/2 oz -2 1/2 oz each. I try to keep the bats as big as possible ,unfortunately  edge sizes gets sacrificed for lesser weight .

Understood but I don't think I made my question very clear. Let me try again. Say, as i this case, you have some bats partially made which you expect to finish at 2'10, if a customer came along and wanted a 2'8, is there anything to stop you taking a bit more wood off (I understand this would mean sacrificing edges) to get it down to 2'8, or are these bats shaped in such a way that will only allow a certain minimum weight? One that comes to mind the new Amplus, which only starts at 2'10. Is it simply down to not wanting to make the bat any smaller as the selling point is size, or is that the profile shape itself dictates a minimum weight below which the bat might become easily broken, for example?

pretty much yes , if a customer want a certain peice of willow then i will if possible. i can concave more to lose weight ,a 6'' radius is the limit i will use for concaving the back of the bat . I mostly use a 8'' drum for concaving
