You what!!
This is interesting. Does it help?
I find my gloves get stiffer or less supple with age. Thats the main reason I soak my inners. To get the moister back in the keeping gloves leather and get them supple, rather than for the inners themselves.
Does a hot bath bring the suppleness back? (It does help my thighs)
I'd be worried about the glues binding the palm as well.
From my days in the army cadet force (not the army
) cadets (not me, i had some kick ass jungle boots which had a canvas/leather ankle support) use to wear there boots in hot showers to "break" them in quicker. However, it makes the leather brittle and thus reduces life especially for the soft wicket keeping stuff. If you want to restor moisture in your gloves use a leather treatment cream avaliable from a good car dealership like bmw or audi for their leather interior cars!
