i think sometimes it helps knowing your very good at something as confidance is a big part of the game like buzz has said its whats upstairs half of time and peoples mentatlity

I don't think anyone is talking about your vid specifically mate. As has been noted, you don't have the most classical technique going, but I have seen many players of your type succeed in environments where it isn't obvious how they do it. If it works for you, who cares?

Fair point really Simmy. I've always been a bowler who likes nice bats. This season I am having to become more of a batsman so that I can keep getting picked as my bowling days are numbered.

All the advice is seriously worth it!

Fair point, but if anything you're generally taking the piss out of yourself on here. Some however have posted vids and when there is criticism they can't take it because their illusion of them being the next Bradman is shattered

when people record net sessions some people cut it out and blend it ball my ball but i mean there could be bad shots cut out so every shot looks good etc.

i was gonna edit mine so you just got the balls and none of the 10 seconds inbetween the bowlers to keep the vid shorter.

but then i thought id just leave it full un edited so everybody could see the good the bad the ugly and the piss taking inbetween.

my fav part of my vid is "moose u can take ur hat off u know everybody knows ur ginger" lol

I'm very much bowler who enjoys batting but can't bat for (No Swearing Please), however at the first possible oppertunity I want to get a video up here for people to pick my technique to bits as there's no coaching at all available over here, and I've got plenty of free time and am very keen to work on my batting.

As the OP, it wasn't aimed at Simmy. It was revealing to see that a lot of the people on here seem to play at a similar level to me and made me realise that I probably can bat!

To be honest most of the videos on are unnatural and Simmy i do not mine your or fletch there taken as they are

Looking at some makes me laugh they try so hard to look correct they are off balance i though your and Ryan were done as a real net and not somebody facing half volleys and keeping a high elbow and checking the shot although not keeping there balance

Batting is not about looking correct it about scoring runs and scoring runs is about you and understanding the way you play.

I play at a very good standard but do not care for looking good for a reason i think to many on here look at the pro and think they do it to be stylish but in truth do it because it works for them

Look at some world beaters in the world cup they hardly conform

I have always thought getting a 100 is a 100 no matter what age or standard

When i was younger i cared to much about standard and not as much enjoyment now i think work all week and it only about enjoyment
