After

This is just one of repairs and refurbs I have done. The pictures of the final bat really doesnt do the bat justice. I actually finished this one today. I will post pictures of other refurbs later! Sorry the pictures are a bit small, i didnt want to clog up the forum

Bit of both mate. I brought an expensive electric sander which does the job, which I use using 40Grit sand paper, and then i hand sand using grades 80, 100 and then 320 for the finish. This one took about 2 hours to get to this standard.

Hi Guys,

Technically this is not a refurb. I had this Salix Pod1 GradeOne bat thatw as too heavy for me but had to buy it as it got knocked near the splice by my daughter.

In the absence of any sensible offers or swaps, I decided to take the risk of taking off the weight myself.

With no tools or experience to use them, I took the much harder option of sanding it down myself.

I initially thought of covering the Salix stickers with a masking tape and take the weight off the middle and bottom. But his was not easy and I realized it would compromise the middle. So I took off all the stickers and sanded it proportionally from top to bottom.

After about 4 hours of work I managed to take of 2oz from the bat.

Before the hard work:

After the hard work
