I'll be staggerred if the wicket isn't:-

1 turning square from ball one
2.the slowest lowest deck seen in this world cup
and the specially minted coin was designed so that India won the toss ;)

but the pitch will be a massive slow bunsen - and why not!

Jeet - why don't you like Afridi? - he is great value, I think his bowling is really difficult to hit with good variation, his leadership got them past Aus - and Pak are the only team to beat Aus at a world cup for ages... as for his batting - which is more miss than hit these days - but when it is hit... bring it on!!!

For me he is box office. dont take a backward step and has a heart. But usually lacking a brain.

Afridi has the quickest, faster ball than any other spinner in the world.

I'm sure you guys have seen this -

Brilliant exactly what you are looking in a player as a neutral. Obviously he would drive me nuts if he was playing for England... and would certainly never get allowed near the captaincy... did someone say Freddie was an England skipper? I don't remember that (cough).

I'll be amazed if the pitch is a square turner in Ahmedabad, normally very flat and good for batting.

top effort from the Windies there 112 in 43 overs. At least they got the recall of Chanders right, albeit at a strikerate of 41.5. It's the only thing they did get right by the looks of it.

Windies should've played Shiv vs England and India. He's the glue in their batting line up

Pakistan's bowling attack is very strong.  If their batters can hold it together they have a good chance in this World Cup.

Gul is arguably the best seamer in one day cricket at the moment, and there's no denying Afridi is bowling very well. Other than that I'm not too sure about their attack, their all capable but also capable of getting smashed all round the park as happened against NZ. Riaz in particular is a weak link.

They have quite a few match winners. Razzaq can destroy u on his day for example. Ajmal for me is a very wily customer. Difficult to pick him.
