Lovely looking profiles, as people say its nice to see they havent taken all the wood out of their bats to achieve huge edges that everyone craves these days! Always preferred a bat with minimal concaving...

Dan, are you and Ben making bats their full time now, or is it a case of AK teaching you at the moment and later on you will be full time making? I can see why they advertised this job as they are always rushed off their feet on saturday mornings when they have the bat fittings and an increase in demand from shops etc...

GJ both me and Ben are working under the close eye of Andrew to ensure nothing is lost in the quality produced. Your right saturday mornings are hectic but if anyone wants to visit the workshop and take a look for themselves saturday mornings is the time to do it.

I've got to confess, reading that makes me really gutted to have not gained the job  :(

Hi Dan,I have not seen any of the Salix shapes in the flesh and would be interested to know how the Falx differs from the Pod shape. I like a to drive, cut and pull and would therefore require a bat with a good pick up and a long middle with a finished weight of 2lb90z. Which shape do you think would suit these requirements best?

Lol rejected by Dan, anyway I have got a falx and trust me it's the best bat in the world, the opinion is slightly biased but.....anyway.

I would be interested in seeing these CTE edges close up.

it's fine to show over exaggerated drawings but the proof is in the finished product I guess... Anyone got any pics to show of any of these bats???

I think Dan and the other chap were scared off the forum for daring to discuss a brand that does not pay sponsorship.

Like redback.

Or GM.

Or GN.

But hey.

I've just got a rogue salix new and the shoulders are def different, cant be sure what shape i have becuase rogues are not exactly but the shoulders on the bat at the back are shaved inwards, bit hard to explain.i'll try to post a pic up.

the one i have is big for the weight it looks like a pod or pod plus from the website

oddly enough i have 2 rogues both 2lb 12,the new one picks up much much lighter,it think i got luck with a light cleft...

i think it CTS on the one I have, edges look the same it's the shoulders that are more 'contoured'

the are more rounded,it's not a great deal of difference than my older Salix but it's noticeable on the bat...

The new models are v nice
