I take you point. I still think you'll go up this year.

Had my first game today in 5 weeks. Bowled first and we got them all out for 167. I took one catch and gave away 2 byes.

I batted at 5 and came in at 11-3 after 8 overs. I batted for 16 overs to get 15 runs and we chased the score down to win by 4 wickets

Very very pleasant 47 off 61 balls. Skipper was really impressed with how I applied myself on a wet deck, and I felt really comfortable with some of the shots played... :)
Kept as well, 9 byes :\ but a Stumping :D
Sad not to get 50 but we won with 9 men against a decent side :)

got stuffed, albeit by a team playing airewharfe div 2/3 - 8 divisions above us. We got off to a flyer with 90-2 off 15 overs, collapsed to 94-7 and recovered somewhat to 149 ao but off 32 out of 40 overs. They knocked it off for 2 in 19 overs thanks to us dropping 6/7 catches and some poor bowling. Could of had then 5/6 down for less than a ton and really caused problems. I got sawn off for the second time in 3 innings, left armer spinner comes on and I get a stride outside off only to be given LBW. No surprise to discover the bowlers dad was umpiring! Passed on the info to the lads and nobody else got their pads anywhere near the ball, but not funny for me. Day finished with me getting a long hop from our spinner smashed at me and spilling it :-(

we played two games on a difficult track - green top which had a sprinkling of rain both days. it kept low and seamed about a bit, and as a result we bowled the saturday team out for 65 and the sunday team out for 57. saturday i opened, scored 26* and we won by 10 wkts. didn't bat sunday but we won by 9 wkts. 3 catches for the weekend as well.

today was the first day i've ever had tea after the game, it felt very strange.

Here goes the essay...Only had one fixture today so team was a little mixed, posted 212 for about 6/7 off , our 40 overs and they ended up on 170ish for 9. The wicket was very poor with extremely variable bounce and ridiculously slow as well. Personally i got a scratchy as (No Swearing Please) 42 before i got stumped, managed to get bat stuck behind my leg trying to make my ground which was annoying as i could have got back in time.

Bowled for my first time this season, 2-0-12-0 which could have been very different as i had an easy drop at slip first ball which ended up as a 4 adding insult to injury, batsmen edged 8 of the 12 runs scored off me which was annoying. Also took a ball to the grille today as i got ready to dispatch a slightly short legsideish ball then as i realised it had popped up i lowered my hands so i wouldnt get caught swishing at it.
Worst slege of the year today too, took my guard and was tightening my pad straps as i heard "hes nervous boys" from the keeper lol

I don't suppose that the Ben Leyshon in there is an Aussie? Only ask as I used to play against someone with that name all through out juniours when I played in Sydney. Could just happen to have the same name, but you never know.

Don't forget if you average more than double you average from last year, you will owe me 50p. This is a vary serious wager in my book.

by the way you have been out caught in each of you 5 knocks... something to think about...

He is an Ozzie mate,he thought he was alot quicker than he is with the ball

I thought it was anything over 800 runs at 45 and I owe you a night out all paid for (seems fair to me )
