Big win for our lot, we batted first, and after being essentially 45-3 off 22 overs (2 wickets down, and our captain retired hurt) we pulled it back to 155-7, scored a handy 17*. Kept them to 110 all out, they threw it away really. 12-5-34-3, decent all-round contribution again!

Got crushed. A terrible start forced me to shut up shop in the 5th over and I got 8 off 50+ balls. However the opposition behaved like morons so I feel like we won as we didn't sink to their level. Why do people behave like idiots? It's a game of cricket, we're all there to have fun.

Out for 5 today - dog-ugly too.
Was in loads of pain, as in a pre-match net at our club a mate cracked a ball straight into my kneecap. Didn't help that I had to run 2 3s one for myself when it eventually went for 4 and one for my skip. :(
Plus, we got 154 in about 30 overs, they then knocked it off in 50 overs for (No Swearing Please)'s sake. One opener made the stodgiest 50 I've ever seen >:(

Played 2nd bootom of division today, they were going at 1 an over for first 10 overs, one of our openers bowled 6 maidens in a row! Their opening bats were absolutely pathetic, both had just about enough defensive technique to survive but one could only slog, edging it to leg from outside off half the time, and the other couldnt get it off the square and ran 2 of his team out. Kept them to 212-7 i think, they used the old ball with spinners for a while and we were going at about 1.5 an over after 15  >:( this left me and no.3 with too much to do and I got out going for it needing 10 an over, got the only skidder of the innings and bottom edged onto stumps :/ we ended on 170ish for 7.
Outfield was so slow as well, me and the slowest runner in our team both ran 4 each! Absolutely creamed some and only got 2  >:( I would have been on 60ish when i got out if the outfield was decent lol but it was nearly the same for both teams (had a bit of rain which slowed up the outfield even more for us).

Got skittled by Peplow's lot for 86 on a green top seamer. They bowled well as did our team who got 4 wickets for 27 after tea when they were 60-2. So Old Down won by 4 wickets. Plenty of low scores in our area.

I got bowled for 3 and didn't get a bowl.

We bowled pwi out for 123 of a dry and crumbly track with no grass on it....made a right drama chasing them down but got home with 2 wickets to spare!

I got given out lbw on tge second wave of appeals after he originally wasn't going to give it....less than amused maybe an understatement :(

Rash boy had the old inside edge LBW and Peachey got caught low down, one handed at square leg from a shoulder high beemer. Brilliant.

Back to winning ways again in the 1's :D We hit 244, which we thought was pretty good... I got a breezy 29 before caught at mid-off, got a disgusting send off from their bowler... uncalled for!

Bowled them out for 190 odd, and managed to return my send off to their bowler, which made him angry enough to throw his bat and helmet all over the place! Happy Days!

Haha that's if he's back in the 1s!

I gotta play Corsham tomorrow unfortunately. Tried playing for our 6s team for the Bradley Stoke festival but wasn't allowed to swap :( (Rain dance)
