Good week for me - got asked to play 20/20 on Thursday night. I'd missed Tuesday night nets at a parents evening, so wife gave me a pass out to play 20/20 instead. Got used as the 5th bowler - 2-22 from my 4 overs which I was quite please with. Oppo hit 125 from their 20

Was asked to bat 4. Went in at 24 for 2. Retired at 53 when the score was 121 (we have to retire at 50 in the competition)

Lost yesterday with a depleted team. Oppo hit 264 from 44 overs. We bowled poorly, but I got my first league bowl of the year (I guess I got chance to bowl as the main bowlers were so poor) - took 6-60!

Batted 4 and hit 26. Top edged a long hop, which I shuold have hit for 4. Was going well, so disappointed not to push on to 50+.

We were all out for 215-ish.

Sounds like you are an underated bowler and no mean batter either.

Big game yesterday, us 2nd bottom vs the team at the bottom, we had the strongest team we had been able to field all season, with a couple of players from the 1st team as their game had been called off due to rain.

Put them in and after my first over went for a shockingly bad 10 we quickly put the pressure on and had them 26-3 off 14 overs before the rain came. They were desperate for it to be called off and we tried to get the game going but everytime we took the covers off it started raining again.

Eventually we had to call the game off which was desperately annoying, especially as I had done well with 4-1-1-12 and we were odds on favourites to win it at that point...

However we were one of the few teams to even get a game started in Norfolk, every single one of the 35 games that went on in the Norfolk Cricket League we called off... And my game today has been called off, so overall a bad weekend for Cricket..

My first full game back today in last 16 of conference cup, we lost by 60 runs.
They batted first and post 228 from their 45 overs, we batted poorly to be honest and all out fot 168.
I bowled 4 overs, my first bowl since last year and got 1 for 30 bowling 3 step military and scored 35 before being given lbw to their leggy ( i was given when going back for a second run, how nice)

I feel so tired and my back is asking for REST!!

must say , the cji fatso went verryyyyyyyyyyyy well today.

We played Wootton Bassett today. We batted first and got 209-4 from 40, I got 13* from 5 balls at the end. I bowled the worst spell of my life and got 2-33 from 4 but luckily they fell 5 runs short of our total from being 182-5 to 204 all out. Was also nice to get a fly over from the red arrows too ;)

Played yesterday though didnt get to bat.  Pitch was somewhat on the damp side and the game was bizarre.  One stage we had the opposition  6 wickets down for 9 runs.  Was reminded of one of our games in 2008 when we bowled them out for 4 (only brought 9 players)

http://friskney.play-cricket.com/scoreboard/scorecard.asp?id=10845380

They managed to get up to 43 courtesy of some poor fielding and in the circumstances, a good knock by their no 8 bat.

We got the runs for the loss of 5 wickets  :( Our skipper decided to mess about with the batting order and he opened - was out first ball.  Some very soft dismissals, some stupid calling.

Village cricket at its absolute best.

I used to play against Friskney and Grainthorpe for my dad's team, Tetney.

Used to play with Phil Burrell at Cleethorpes too

6-a-side comp at the club today. Pretty much been drinking from 11am-11pm... Batted 3 times as our team reached the semis, scored 28*, 28* and 40*. Hit 8 sixes but not sure if im gonna count 6-a-side runs Lol

After a very average start to the season, I finally found some form yesterday with 101.  Nearly chased down 224 and was last man out with 20 needed and an over to go....Will get Buzz a link to the scorecard when its done and get on the honours board....

We played Cleethorpes yesterday, just on topic! At their home ground. Lovely place. Some of their players are a bit iffy though! Bowled first, kept them to 164, which at their ground is a miracle! 14-1-49-1, I bowled at the death too, so I came out of that pretty well. Desperately unlucky not to get more than 1 wicket too. Then went and played a stupid shot batting at 7, 4 ball duck. Gutted, lost by 30 runs in the end!

No game on Saturday, and our Sunday team is just a bit of fun.

Opened the batting on a sticky track and got 19 before one popped on me and i chipped it back to the bowler.

Didn't keep - save the knees - so the skipper chucked me the ball and I had a modest 5-0-21-0 spell of seam up. Also took a catch in the deep.

Yet to score a 50 in all competitions this season which is frustrating, but I've only got one duck and generally manage to set a good foundation for the biffers in the middle order.

Got a duck on Saturday. Batted 8 as I did my knee in in the field, reoccurence of a problem the week before.
I felt hard done by as I slapped one back really hard low to the bowler's left and he took a good catch given it was a wet ball :(
But that happens sometimes. :(

Batted 5 in the league team on Sunday. Grafted 23, unfortunately very slow off 72 balls. Really found it difficult to bat on the sticky wicket as I rely more on my timing rather than strength. Kept as well, only one bye :)
