Got a 32 today till a good catch from the keeper but bowled 14 overs and took 3 so not all bad

I'm gutted, for once I've had a fair bit of nets before the season starts, was feeling in good touch. Then yesterday I was playing football and I went over on my ankle and it's badly sprained, so who knows when I'll be back playing.

Might enjoy tomorrow morning. I get to bat whilst 'teaching' the u-15/u-17s not to be scared of the ball. This involves someone chucking a ball to me and then me hitting the ball as hard as I want at the youth members who have to stop it. #toughlove

I got 12 yesturday. came in fairly near the end trying to boost the total, did alot of running and not alot of ball striking! got stumped off a seamer

Didnt win the game as the opposition batted out for a draw, got them 8 down, i bowled 2 overs at the end and got 1 wicket, bowled someone with the googly, was the first time i've bowled leg spin in a game aswell

Our opposition had just come down from Div 3 and the umpire was acting like it was Premier league. He gave me 2 warnings for running on the pitch and another batsman 3 warnings. Never had that before playing district let alone div 3!

He then was talking about bringing us off for bad light, a cloud moved in front of the sun for 5 minutes!

Anyway, the game. I opened and made 18 before I nicked off to a left arm spinner. We went on to post 180 Inbetween rain breaks. They had a target of 173 of 4 overs because of the rain delay. They were 60-0 then I came on, took 3-11 in 7 overs. They ended up 9 down so we won and took 19 points

lost to a bunch of morons basically, these guys were non-cricketers. we have got some quality players and had pretty much our best side out, on paper we should have won easily, anyway it gets worse... i bowled 4-0-25-0 and had no fewer than 5 catches dropped off my bowling alone, not to mention the two chinese cuts that narrowly missed the stumps, 7 chances created in 4 overs and came away with nothing. they got 220 but we still should have knocked that off. then the most surreal part was seeing 2 60 year old pie chuckers launching moon ball after moon ball against some of our top order (who have played county second xi) and ripping through to leave us about 120 all out. absolute mind fcuk.

Had a practice game yesterday, got to bowl one over and took a wicket on 2nd ball and they were bowled out for 162 (30 overs).

Went at 4 in batting but got out on 2nd ball, first ball was wide second one was defended on front foot and third ball came near my stomach region and I tried to defend it down but closed the face of the bat and got top edge onto bowler..

I scored my fastest ever ton yesterday, I retired 100no in the 17th over... - it was a pre season friendly...
we scored 270-8 in 45 overs and bowled the oppo out for 202 (would have been less if we had held our catches - I dropped a sitter arrrggg!)
