Runs at last, played two t20s today, first game felt awful, against a rubbish side.

Second game, with us being definite underdogs, we fielded really well, and bowled superbly, they were all out for 117 in there innings.

We came to bat, and everything clicked, I went through periods feeling like everything I hit would go for four, we cruised it and won in 17th over, with only 2 wickets down.

Bodes well for my opening county game tomorrow!

First game in Norways today, didn't bat as we scored 259-5 in 30 overs, bowled 6-0-45-2 in their reply of 249oa.

Going to take a bit of time to get used to bolwing on such flat astros with pretty small boundries.

They won't catch us this time! Not this time! They haven't spotted us! No, they're all snoring in their bunks! Or, you know what? They're drinking at the bar, celebrating our sinking! Not yet, my friends. Not yet!

Top scored for both of my teams this weekend.  Unfortunately the top score on Saturday was only 20 out of 86 all out.  Today I made 88 from 105 balls out of our score of 195-8.  Pleased with the way I hit the ball, and the opposition overseas pro was very impressed with the Redback Paradox LE.

Be interested to hear more, not many of us have played cricket in Norway :-)

Lost our first league game today. Bowled first and there was some of the worst umpiring I have ever seen. 3rd over the batsman clearly gloved the ball and I took the catch. Not out says the umpire. 2 plumb lbws turned down. Then in about the 30th over a batsman was short about 5 feet from his crease and was clearly run out. The umpire said he couldnt see what was going on.

Got 7 with the bat coming in at 4 but hung around for a while

70 off 54 balls today opening the batting, outscoring the best batsman at our club  8) That said however the opposition were pathetic, and so was our team selection (we normally put out 2 sunday teams yet when there was only one sunday fixture we only had 5/6 "adult" cricketers playing! >:()
We posted 251-? after being on 150 halfway through, they ended 5 short after we let everyone apart from me have a bowl :/
Also got out to the best catch I have ever seen, powerful chip over mid-on, don't bother running - guy misjudges it then somehow sprints backwards down a hill and takes a stunning diving one-hander over his head!

Do you umpires get paid or give their time up for free?  I've dropped down some divisions this year and there is a lot of complaining about umpires.  As players sometimes I think we should be thankful that these blokes are willing to give up their time for us to enjoy a sport that we all love playing.

The home team supply the umpires which are usually just players as we are a low division team

Got a nice 35 off 39 balls today, felt really good at the crease and people commented that I batted class so really happy.
6 4s and 1 6...happy days when a 6 comes off the edge! :)

Thats what I mean.........people giving their time up for free and as players all we do is give them grief.  No one means to give shockers but it is all part and parcel of the game that we love!!!!!!

Very interesting to see Nick English playing against Bristol Sri Lankans  :D

I bet the guy who got 99 was very annoyed, I know I would be.
