One game I came in at 32 for 7, hit 47 off 28 balls. Their opening bowler tried giving me stick, I replied 'I'm a number 9 batter, and you can't get me out. Shut up and once you get me out you can say something. Until then just get back to your mark'

On last Wednesday, playing for uni. I got 8 and took a screamer at slip

Resigned?? Isn't he mid 20s?

Yeah he basically resigned the captaincy and (No Swearing Please) off to play for Weston Super Mare, apparently he asked Uphill if they would pay him to play, they said no so he left.....

Water the stump holes before the start of play this allows stumps to come out of the ground

Dont think there could have been more water put on the pitch before the game with the amount of rain we had in the morning.
Don't want the oppo to have any excuse to call the game off  :D

Just the stmpholes so bowlers think they must be quick when stumps come clean out of the ground

I did forget to mention the stump did go flying past the keeper and first slip. I am sure if the stumpholes were watered we would be a keeper or fielder down.

Played a 20-20 cup game with a very changed side to our normal league team. Normally bat at 9 or 10 but today I opened, got 16 in an opening partnership of 36 from the first 6 overs before chipping the ball straight to a fielder at mid-off. Team made 120 all out(Batsmen 3 to 6 scored about 5 between them...) and we somehow defended it winning by 5 runs.

Slowly the form is picking up as I get used to men's cricket(Only 15 currently) and this might earn me a promotion up the order in the league games, good stuff all round!
