Asics or Adidas
« on: April 17, 2011, 09:02:41 AM »

Morning everyone

I saw these on eBay yesterday
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380323829205&var#shId
At what I thought was a good price

I have been very loyal to Asics for both running trainers and cricket spikes
But my green/gold spikes have been giving me blisters for about 2 seasons, a common problem
However, they are lightweight and flexible
What shall I do?

Cheers
Dan

They were rated very highly by the players when they were released.

I was once told, adidas for show, asics for go

That was by a ex county player and i find it to be true, dont think you can beat asics for off the shelf comfort but each to their own i guess

I found adidas spikes to much better, comfier over a longer period and just an all around good boot. Asics i felt were a little flimsy and very uncomfy!

I would love to use the asics week in week out, but the blisters are a royal nightmare sometimes. They never get the chance to heal if you play 2-3 times a week. I believe its just that line of asics which are the prob, green/gold advance 2's. I have had several other pairs of asics and never had the same prob.

Yeah mate!

I  had the Aussie Asics and found that I was getting blisters on the back of the heel, I had to resort back to my old Adidas spikes,

I am thinking of getting some trainers spiked up this year,

Well I have a set for sale, now I have the old Jacques Kallis Adidas handmades..... found them in the bottom of a bag of kit I was going to chuck out, they are superb old school boots.

UK 11 Asics Gel Advance 2 in LE Green and Yellow if they fit Dave?
