Noticed a cheeky hammer edge on Jayawardena's bat. Reckon he's using a Newbery possibly and just stickered it up with his Reebok stickers?

"There were bats resting on the window pane. Matt Prior threw a glove into a kit bag. The glove then ricocheted into bat resting on window pan, and this broke the glass. A female spectator suffered a small cut to her ankle, it was an accident and Matt Prior has apologised."

And I have a first class average of 99.98 ;)

Prior apologises, with a slightly glazed look in his eyes after being (urm) framed by Andrew Strauss

the pun down with Buzz...brilliant stuff, never has such a fuss been made over a broken window since my brother kicked a football through our next door neighbours greenhouse.....should have blamed the glove, resting on the bat that was adjacent to the greenhouse window!

Haha, takes me back that.  My wee brother used to be a very good goalkeeper back in the day.  Remember when he was about 14 or 15 him taking goal kicks off the back garden into the gap between two windows on the back of the house.  In retrospect it was bound to end badly, but at the time I remember being quite impressed that he managed to get 30 or 40 in without any wavering at all before he smashed his own bedroom window.  I was also impressed that he managed to blag his way out of it for a while, convincing our folks some undesirable youths had been playing football behind our house.

ECB have WITHDRAWN their statement! haha couldn't make it up!

According to Andy Flower...Prior put bat on ledge where wall met the window. Handle bounced off wall, glass broke. The plot thickens.

England had the original decision reversed, having referred it to DRS.

Hotspot showed that it was bat and not glove after all.

You're right, nothing to write home about.  At least he's shown a bit of passion, I know I've reacted similarly in the past, sure most people have under similar circumstances.  Sure he can afford to pay to have a new pane fitted if needs be.
