Why did it take so long to start? I know it has been raining but surely they could have done the toss inside while it was raining and then everybody would have been ready as soon as they said the pitch was ready...

Pitch was covered, think they might have wanted to see it before choosing to bat or bowl

Also cpatians might change their mind about what to do depending on how long the rain lasts.

What happened to the good ole' W.G.Grace saying, "If you win the toss bat, if you aren't sure what to do, consider all the options, and then bat" Or something to that effect, that is how it should be done :p

I can imagine a pause in play as Tom runs onto the pitch brandishing an Ayrtek for Sangakkara and being taken out by security lol

Well can't see sanga being paid to wear the Albion as he has covered up the Albion sign on the back

Sanga did this in the world cup, and if money talks johan, then why is his lid stickered?

The fact he has it stickered probably tells you his loyalty to Ayrtek is there, and due to unforseen circumstances, his lid is not available.

However the idea of Milson legging it out during the drinks break makes me laugh...

Well he went there to give a lid to the opener so if sangas was broken I'm sure he would've taken one along so we won't know till Tom returns

Nothing to do with the word cup. You said money talks. If that's the case, why would he be wearing a stickered up helmet? Use your head mate

Yes, we shall 'see how events unfold' then
