Gray Nicolls - return of a golden oldie....
« on: June 08, 2011, 07:47:43 AM »

From @graynics twitter feed:

"What is your favourite Gray-Nicolls bat of all time, you may see an absolute golden oldie make a come back for 2012...."

This has me intrigued? Are Gray Nics planning a re-release? If so, what will it be?

Powerspot?
Scoop?

Can Alex give us a heads up?

if previous threads on here about the old GN's turning up on ebay and the excitement that they got are anything to go by i reckon this could be a winner. Must admit i was a huge GN fan as a kid. Not quite to the powerspot era but millenium, longbow carbo, Powerbow. think i may have even had a schimitar aswell.

Those aren't classics though... It's the GN500/Scoop/Twin Scoop/Dynadrive that are the classics!

Dynadrive......? I loved mine (which I still have somewhere) I can see them doing that, still looks fairly modern after all so may even appeal to those unfamiliar with it...?

Dynadrive is my guess anyway... :D And that's all it is......a guess!

GN 100 5* single scoop would tempt me .

I remember them doing a powerline model which had some sort of polyarmour coating which just flaked and fell off. Bat lasted ok though.

Isn't that the 3* bat you don't use very often because you don't want it to break?

Cover Drive - some of our B Team would agree with you, they had a Powerbow 5* in the old shape that was just superb, they all mourned it's passing and still go on about it, they've bought a new shape Carbo and they've 'borrowed' a Powerbow Titanium in that shape from our A Team but neither are good enough for them!

Exactly! This Powerbow is probably the best bat in my 22 bats I own!

Few retailers in North America have this Powerbow (top of the line goes for like $450 which is like 280 Pounds), I have been emailing them but they don't reply

Why don't you have it copied? It would be cheaper the $450.
