SF triumph keeping gear.

Evening guys, as a part time/stand in keeper I have always used someone elses kit when doing the job, but after a few practice sessions i remembered how much I like doing it. So, I am seriously considering getting myself some gear and maybe even trying to go full time (although my club won't agree because Im pretty damn good in the field and have a distance arm). Anyway enough talking myself up :) I saw these today and wondered if
Anyone had any thoughts or knowledge on them
And if they are any good?

not used them myself...

i'm sure they do the job, but for the same price you could pick up some Puma/Kookaburra/Gray Nicolls/GM gear from Barrington Sports in the sale and not have to worry about importing stuff from India.

Right then, none of this SF nonsense. Get involed in either some SS gear as Rich said above me, or some kook stuff.

What's your budget for both?

I can really highly recommend those SS LE Keeping Gloves, sure justnotcricket86 can back me up as well.
They're a pefect fit for me and do the business very nicely :)
Though going down to a shop and trying stuff on is obviously the best way about going about buying softs or keeping gear - anything really...

Get a pair of those SS gloves mate and you wont be disappointed. Then pick up a pair of pads off barrington

Thanks guys I just thought these looked nice :) I like the SS gear but prefer the longer cuff gloves, really liking the Slaz ultimate ad well. I'd get some from
Geoff but I don't know if the club are going to let me keep full time lol.

Now then fella. I'm not too bad, yourself? I love the kook silvers mate, just seen yours actually. No budget In mind but have to see what happens after this evening and Saturday as the normal keeper may well be out of a job :) haha just forgot how much I loved keeping, wish id never stopped now

SF make quality softs but as the guys have mentioned it is bargain time now with the sales plus you have the bonus of trying the products on in the shop and walk away with your selected items if you are happy.

No need to worry on royal mail , customs and the rest that goes with an overseas purchase.

Given postage and customs costs - I agree with the guys above - pick up something from the sales here in the UK - plus the sizings may be better - although I don't know if the keeping gloves from online stockist have the same "small mens" issue as the batting gloves.
