Fast Bowler's United
« on: June 14, 2011, 02:41:16 PM »

I've known about these guys for a couple of years now, but I  forgot about them but came across the website again recently.

They used to just spike up runners, but now they sell gloves and pads as well as custom making thigh pads, chest guards, arm guards and inner thigh pads. You can either buy runners off them and they spike them up, or you can send in your runners to be spiked up how you want them.

They also have the extra long spikes for wet weather, which I havent seen at any other shop and they are pretty good.

They are based in Qld, Australia. Their base used to be near the GCCC in Albion, but now they are based at Loganholme, which is good for me as it is 10 mins away. I also remember one of my mates telling me that a couple of the QLD Bulls players own/run it.

Here is their website: http://www.fbutd.com/

And you end up paying a lot of money!

AUS$400 for a pair of cricket boots is a lot, when I can buy a pair of Asics cricket specific boots for £70, or get some trainers converted by guys over here for a lot less!

I agree, the website isn't great.

They are pretty expensive. I'm envious as you guys have a larger range and get most things alot cheaper, but this was more for Australian users as I don't know of anyone else who does it in Australia.

Would be a good option if you had an older pair of runners, but were still in decent nick, you could just send them in and get them spiked.
