My mug is still going strong although it isn't fully knocked in yet!!
When it comes to the mug, the pressing and handle are important remember!  ;)

That's what I wanted to do with it, however it was broken before I got a chance to - might try and replace it for free... ;)

How do sports direct manage to sell stuff so cheap. As an example the GM original LE gloves that I got recently for about £29 had an original price of about £70, now I assume sports direct got a load of them cheap from somewhere presumably for something like £15 a pair so they have a decent margin for resale.

Do they get stuff like this direct from the brands or from other stores? If its direct from the brands then surely it would make more sense for them to sell them cheap themselves (of course they may not be able to do this for image reasons or perhaps not being allowed to undercut the retailers they supply).

Just thinking that I'm sure if the brands offered their old stock for sale on somewhere like here I'm sure they'd get snapped up for a better price for them and for us. I'd be more than happy to pay GM direct for the gloves I just bought if they had some sort of end of season offer.

Of course I have no experience of working in retail so all my comments might be daft but hopefully not.

It is far easier for the brands to sell off stock in volume to a retailer than have to sell off individual items themselves to the consumer. They can get rid of surpluses in one go and concentrate on their new ranges. It is what any supplier of any volume does in pretty much any industry.

Are the Slazenger Ultimate pads or the other decent priced ones on Sports Direct any good? I'm in two minds between those and the 909 GM ones!

Advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

I'd go GM 909's pal. Great quality pads they are!

Thanks for the warm welcome Brucey!

You recommend me to purchase the 909 ones then?

Are they the best there? I do like the look of the Slazenger ones but like I said before I'm in two minds!

I've been told the Grey Nicolls Evo 1000 are good pads too, but I don't like the look of them!

You are probably best to try them on first although you can always send them back (pending they send you the correct model  :o)

If it's like mine then you'll be fine Simmy!
I know it's a gamble but I reckon most Oblivions would be reasonable.
Do what I did and don't expect anything too decent, so that you may be pleasantly surprised with a bit of luck!  ;)

It wasn't that the one I ordered was a dog, it was simply that it was in terrible condition and had been roundly abused, and the discount they offered for the damage wasn't worth it.
