Help me identify a brand please
« on: July 04, 2011, 10:12:57 AM »

I went to watch Sandiacre play the West Indian Cavaliers in the national knockout, was a great game of cricket. However I was able to identify all the bats except one brand, at first I thought it was a CF but once the batsmen got to the crease it clearly wasn't.

The stickers were very minimalist, with a lot of bare wood. The branding could have been a W, HH or a picture of a trident. I just couldn't see that far >:(, does this ring any bells? The colours were black and silvers, no bright colours.

Apologies for how staggeringly vague this is but it could be a new brand.  ???

Trident could be the brand and owned by a chap called Carlos Brathwaith from Barbados. (pic above)

It was circular but looked like a W, it's bugging me so much. I've been looking at every bat brand and photo I could think of that may help.

I've checked their website and nothing looks similar, there were a lot of Hawk bats on display but again their stickers are coloured.

Sorry to hijack this thread but i saw a brand i didnt recognise a couple of weeks ago, and was going to start a similar thread, was wondering if someone could try and guess it from what i can remember of it.

The bat was covered in stickers which were gold, with what looked like Fii on the front, i thought it was fila or something at first, anyway the bat looked asian made and the pads had a weird design to them, think the model name was 'pro' as it was printed on the side. Any ideas?

Do a rough drawing of it and post it here, someone's bound to recognise it then.

I would guess this brand, a brand sold and owned by Ace Sports in Burton. They sponsor Jake Needham, who was a few years back a Sandiacre player.

Okay, given that I was quite a distance away this is rough and the W could have been and H. I quite like the drawing though so maybe I'll start a brand that looks like this.  ;)

The small rectangle was text and the stickers covered barely 1/4 to 1/3 of the blade. On the back down the spine was a dagger shaped sticker that was perhaps 8 inches long.
