cricket socks with a bit of padding in them for batting.. only minor

like on the insides of the calf/lef down to a tad on the ankle (so socks would be ambixdetrous anyway as padding on different sides makes them usable for right or left handers

just to help prevent things like this (tim bresnan after he middled on into his leg)

Going back to the original question What would you like to see from Ayrtek in 2012

A car

An car sized Ayrtek shell with 4 wheels which is fully drivable. Plus it's aerodynamic ;)

We didn't have to be realistic, did we? ;)

Revamped bat stickers. The shell and the softs look great. I get lots of stick for wearing the helmet but is more than made up by the fact that my mom absolutely loved it and she thinks traditional helmets are ugly.

You have pads in the way, why do you need padding in socks...? I've never been hit on them!

Good to see some product research going on!!!! How about a good genuine bowling boot that offers full ankle support? With only Puma and Nike offering a true bowling boot that wraps around the ankle now after Asics withdrew their 8 for 64 boots the market choice is limited. Also there is not a bowling boot for indoor use unless you unscrew studs etc and put cleats in which is a complete pain in the ass. So  a dedicated full wrap around ankle bowling boot with shock absorption which is good looking maybe all white similar to the I pod style etc just a thought for indoor use that you can walk around in general in and a separate boot with full spikes . As i know my disabled players who have ankle/leg problems love the full wrap around ankle boots but with only two boots on the market now choice is limited.

Yeh the investment and time put in by adidas and asics with the ECB in terms of R&D would be years I'd think.

Some products are best left to the companies that are experienced in that area

This thread makes me laugh!

Tom: "what would you like to see in 2012?"

Someone: "i'd like to see this......"
Tom: No

Someone else: " i'd like to see this...."
Tom: "Doing it already"

Someone else: "i'd like to see this...."
Tom: "No"

;) ;) ;)

I'd actually love to just see Tom wearing his lid and full range of softs with a suit on a normal sky sports interview and wearing one on a live experiment where we fire bouncers at his head at 100mph?? :D pretty please.
