A Huge inside edge on to my pad, and given LBW by out own umpire, never good!

Not a weird way to get out but a surprising way.

Absolutely timed a pull perfectly, thinking 4 every time, then the oldest guy on their team (late 50's) pulls off one the the best one handed catches I've ever seen. Gutting.

Yeh i know what you mean mate, got out to two of them this season, annoying because theres nothing you can do when it keeps that low.
Still no reason it could be a dead ball just for keeping low though!

Worst way of getting out ive seen in a while was 2 sundays ago, captain bowled it down leg to a lefty, was going to be a wide but as batsman tried to hit it his back leg came up and out to leg a long way and pulled ball onto middle stump instead of past my dive as stand in keeper!

Run out by a mate who hit it straight to short third man and walked up the pitch as if to run. At this age I don't know the word 'NO!!!' so went and was run out by a fair distance >:(
But not as bad as being triggered on Saturday against a very average bowling attack where I was in a position to cash in in difficult circumstances. >:(

But I get angry every time I get out like Buzz - I don't enjoy getting out.

I've bowled loads of people with an inswinging delivery that was missing leg by a fair way coming off their pads and on to the stumps!

Run out has to be the most frustrating way without a doubt

The most annoying way I got out was earlier in the season when playing a friendly game at uni when opening the batting against Lingfield CC, managed to get myself to 42 not out surprisingly easily and coming off my 3rd ton in 5 weeks and well on my way to my 4th. The track was playing true facing a military medium bowler, he has bowled one of shittest balls all day right into my area of a full toss shin high on middle, this ball any other day would be dispatched over cow for 6.

and I ruddy well missed it and got bowled :(.

to add insult to injury we were playing a time game and we bowled 10 more overs at them and they won :@

Yeah mate, me and Joel had a decent amount of banter when I was umpiring. I was in stitches cos our middle order couldn't hit a ball off the square. He would have made much better batsman than us look average I reckon. Not close to 1st team honours?

Haha, when he's on form he is nearly impossible to play, Its hard enough fielding at slip to him! He's played a couple of 1st team games this year but not taken many wickets.... Never goes for many runs though :)

Out caught behind to the faintest of edges with the keeping standing up, was a good ball as it skidded through a little quicker. I was nice and set and enjoying opening the innings. Doesn't sound too bad does it?

It does when it's the 7th ball of the F*CKING OVER and your (No Swearing Please) of a team-mate can't count to six.....livid I was

And yes, I walked. Would have been given not out but I had kicked up such a fuss in their innings when one of their boys didn't walk it would have been wrong of me to stand my ground. My karma is in tact I suppose ;)

Batting 5ft out of the crease, level with the bowlers mark for getting off the pitch, big stride, ball hits me on the knee roll. League umpire who gets paid for standing there raises the finger. So impact is nearly four yards from the stumps. Words cannot describe the level of incompetence sometimes.

recurring theme for me im afraid! Left arm over swinging it in to me (rhb) i look to leave as it starts way outside off and it always darts back in to clean me up or trap me lbw, im wary of moving my feet and almost feel as if im out before the ball is bowled against a good left armer doing a bit with it... Something to work on over the winter for sure.

Maybe trying to cut the worst legspinner I've ever seen, I just seemed to hit it straight up in the air to point. Its the kind of bowler that bowls so slow you try to over hit the ball and end up playing a crap shot.

Or being given out lbw when I was standing on legstump after the ball clipped my back heel. I was also feeling good at the crease and the final three wicket's fell for 1 run, we ended up the losing the game by two wickets with 2 overs remaining. had I not been given out I could've added around another 30 runs with are opener who was on 70 odd.

Dancing down the track and being given out lbw with the ump saying "go on then" then finger goes up

Just this sat, attempted pull to a leggish ball, gloved it into my box to be given out LBW!
