Grip Question
« on: July 19, 2011, 02:47:18 PM »

Quick question chaps....

My current grip set up is half an octopus under a chevron. Used it for a few weeks and enjoy the fact it's making me play less bottom handed etc etc. My question is what grip available at the moment would replicate this without me having to mess about with cutting grips, riding up etc. I prefer the bottom half to be thick, hence using the octo...

Am I right it in thinking it would be one of the GM ones?

Cheers

Lekka xtrax grips do it to a degree. I use them on my bats and they are great. The last ages aswell

Are they not 2 x £15 if I remember rightly?

It's not a massive deal really, I can live with how I have it set up at the moment, just curious as one grip would make life easier!

I know they are £15 for 2...but they last way longer than cheap grips so they dont cost any more in my eyes

JohnnyW, are you using the black/white combi or the all white ones?

Would prefer the all white ones - I may try GM Shock Absorba first and see how I get on with that

I have one of the black/White x trax ones and it feels unbelievably hard working, should last ages

The gm shock absorbers do feel very nice mind

I don't know how to put this, but, I'm kind of a big deal.

I've got a few of the all white combi's and they aren't particularly 'hard working'. Are the all white and black/white the same grip?

I use the GM Shock Absorbers on my bats and I reckon they might replicate the feeling your after pretty well. I've always had a two grip setup on my bats until I started using the Shock Absorbers, now I can get away with just one grip. It's not quite the same but pretty close...

I think I might find them cheaper than this ;)

Lekka, just a quick query. Are the combi grips that Mr Peplow and Johan were selling earlier in the year the same grips as the Lekka Xtrax Combi grips? Notwithstanding the difference in the colour scheme obviously.

White are out of stock.

Fair enough:

For what it's worth, yours look as good and have only heard good reviews.  May have to invest in a couple.
