I was in a hotel in Kathmandu, Nepal about 8 years ago, went downstairs and discovered the reception, tour desk and kitchen was closed for breakfast and lunch as Sachin was batting!!!  Fortunately he was out late in the evening and dinner was served.

Anyone waiting on cricket equipment from India should write off the next 3/4 weeks.  They will be glued to any TV like Gazza glued to a can of McEwans  :D

That explains a lot!!!

The more I watch of this game the more absurd it seems that you cant refer LBWs, surely you either have all the technology or none of it. ICC were completely spineless and let the BCCI get there own way

This is much more traditional test cricket than we've seen recently!

Suns out and looks a great day for batting.

Bells bat seems to be a wonderful profile or is it the Adidas stripes that makes it different?

I thought it was out and with this review I think KP is very lucky, Dhoni bit harshly done there with his bowling as well

How is he lucky? Not a mark on the bat and his immediate reaction was clear he hadn't hit it.

Lucky in the fact that it is there to use unlike the predicted path of the LBW

3rd umpire didnt use the sideways hotspot view really, but the commentators showed there was no nick. On a different note Dhoni isn't half bad

Is he bowling in his jumper? I've never seen him without it on! Must have terrible circulation ;)

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.
