Yes due to my age, will be no next month as i don't play a high standard and most grounds don't bounce as much as at home

I used to think that. You can do everything right and then end up injured. I really don't think that today's modern helmets hamper your game. A ball could easily pop off a length, a bowler bowl a beamer, or running a quick single a fielder could have a shy at the stumps and hit you in the back of the head!

The biggest issue is the unexpected beamer. See far too many of those...

Always have and always will, was compulsory for me when I started. Just turned 18 and still wearing one.

I'm still under the age where I have to wear one, and seeing as I'm used to wearing one, and they're for my own protection, might as well keep using one.

I have put no because I don't wear one for batting but have started wearing one for keeping this year.
Have never been able to get used to wearing one for batting and it was not enforced back in the day when I was a youth teamer.

Ive wear a lid always despite batting in 30C all year and its nothing to do with bouncers and beamers. I had a fielder almost take my head off when running a single and since decided safety first. Never been hit on the lid but have got so used to it now that I cant bat without one. Using the grille as a measure to pick length and keep your head still are big advantages of batting with a helmet.

Didn't use to until when i was a kid until they made it so for under 18's.  That was my last year in that year group and just got used to it..........so much so I take throw downs in it as now i think train as you play so everything is that same.

I do not wear a lid but did start wearing a cap after getting a beamer from god knows how many yards @ age 13. Not sure what the lad was up to but he was not the full shilling.

Yes as I have to, have to wait and see next season when I'm 18 if I carry on
