Not sure yet mate, did over 200 miles in it during the day and it was fine. Then went the 1 mile up the road to the supermarket, 10 minutes later the whole place was evacuated and my car had 15foot flames coming from the bonnet and two fire engines next to it!!! Just glad that nobody got hurt really.
Fire brigade were unable to determine the cause of the fire but they suggested an electrical fault.

Before anyone asks no cricket kit was in it!  :D
Have some difficult explaining to do to a teamwear supplier whose samples were in the car though  :(

Very much so, much better that it happened there whilst empty than when I was driving back down the M6 earlier. Quite scary really

Yeah thank god you were out of the car man. You want to have BMWs pants down for that. Frightening stuff

True, will wait to hear what the verdict is on the cause first and start the search for a new car again!

Yea I know it was probably just bad luck with the BMW but seeing your car like that just minutes after you left it is pretty off putting! Think the A4 will probably be favourite. Bet I end up with some class A one litre tin can which can't fit my kit in the meantime tho  :(

I'd be delighted if I got something as good as a Clio whilst I wait for a new car! Worst I had was a 1litre Fiat Panda with no aircon during the summer. Got so hot I had to take towels with me when I went to work as I sweated so much and fitting cricket kit in was just not an option!

gutted for you mate!

hope my bmw doesnt catch fire haha

the boot in an e36 3 series is (No Swearing Please)! can only really get one bag in it because of the way its shaped over the rear arches :(

e30 was much better.

the a4 boots are much better i do miss the a4 estate for space reasons! but it was bit slow.
RS4 one day i think :)

glad you was ok mate!
