He's only played 31 ODIs, averaging 39, give the guy a chance! He's an outstanding ODI batsman, how about we let players have a go before we slate them and call for their heads?! This is ridiculous, it's not even a knee-jerk reaction, he's not done anything wrong!

i did say a year to 18 months about 27 1 dayers i think then we will see

No chance, Cook's not going anywhere. A class act in Tests, ODIs, and he'd do a decent job in T20's as he seems to have the knack in the domestic form.

Don't forget he's 34, he's prolonging his test career. Ali Cook is 26, he's got (theoretically) 10+ years left in him. If Strauss were 30-32, I wager he'd still be in the side for another couple of years or so!
