What softs do I go for?
« on: August 18, 2011, 02:22:09 PM »

Right. It's that time of years where I would like to buy some new softs to give them their debut on tour and then pack away for the winter!

I have 3 option

1) M&H Dintinction Pads and Alpha Gloves £134
2) Kookaburra Kahuna 1000 Pads and Gloves £135
3) Wait for 2012 gear

They have to be matching and not clash with my Ayrtek Elite bat!

Thanks

Liam

If someone wants to see the results, can't they just press the "View Results" button?

If you want it to match your Ayrtek, then defo get the Kahuna.

Thought you had already done this about a week ago and we all gave you options etc?

Why not Ayrtek gear? Pads and gloves seem great quality.

I just feel that buying off the big boys you are paying over the odds. I don't have figures to hand but I'm sure Arytek are affordable, and most probably of equivalent value, I just think you'll be paying for Ponting's bats if you go Kookaburra!  :D

I did buy Ayrtek gloves and received them but I don't like the feel so have got a refund and are sending them back. I did the measurements on ayrtek pads and they would be too big. Where I have tried on the kook and M&H gear.

The ayrtek gloves were lovely in design. Just not for me

what is wrong with your current kit or is it clashing with the new bat?!!

If you like the kook stuff, why not try the H4L stuff - which is similar, but different...?

Gloves have a hole in the thumb and pads are wearing a bit so decided to change both

Ice pads are wearing already? that isn't good, how long have you had them?
Mine are only a season old, but doing well (could do with a wipe though - and some of the strap stitching is coming undone which is irritating)

2012 gear will all be previewed in less than a month, I'd hold on. Just in case.

It's not major wear, just a little in the instep but if I'm changing gear then I'd like to get it all at the same time

Do you think that will be including GM Tom?
