Asics Gel Advance 4
« on: August 27, 2011, 03:05:55 AM »

A bit of a surprise my mum (lol) said that she would buy me some shoes for the up coming season, so I went into GCCC today to pick up the shoe where I had my mind set on either the Gel Advance 4's or the Adidas SL-22's. They didn't have the SL-22's and they said they didn't know when they were coming in, so I tried on the Advances as well as all the other shoes that they had and ended up grabbing the Advance 4's. They are really, really comfortable and they are much comfier than the Gel Advance 2's which had the swede and madde you blister like crazy, these have independant padding along the heel and ankle which is super soft.

Great purchase and pictures will follow.

Obviously the true test of their comfort will be when I wear them in a game, but im sure they will still be ridiculously comfortable

With this last one I have attempted to show that the black cushioning for the heel and ankle is actually a separate piece of padding which ahs been stiched into the shoe. The padding is super soft and this makes the shoes sooo comfortable to wear. These were comfier than the Gel Advance 3's that I tried on too. Gone are the days of extreme blistering thanks to the Gel Advance 2's :D

I suppose that is all that matters! Although they would clash horribly with my gear!

Just a bit too much going on I think, they're quite nice though!

if you had red kit, like the H4L kit, or the red kook kit, i think they would look great.

a bit to modern looking for me though.

These look better than the Gel Advance 3's imo, but I suppose it's down to personal preference

The spike configuration on the 4's are 7/2, whereas the 3's were 6/2.
