Toe is split in 3 directions so have dowelling to hold it together....slight crack on the edge too :( still goes well tho going into its 3rd season

Does this kind of repair have any impact on performance. I know this is right down at the toe. But with the dowels going into the wood does it deaden the toe end.

Tom did you use a toe guard. How many repairs has it gone through. Are there any other cracks apart from this.

this happened at the start of last season i think and i used it to score another 800 runs last year roughly so i dont think it effects the middle....any bats toe is going to be a spot of less rebound so not that worried.

will get a better pic of the toe when im back in the office tomorrow as you cant really see the uni directional crack in the pic

I have no idea what the designer was doing on the advance 3's by having a heal without any padding being provided!

perhaps someone who enjoys blisters and pain!!!

Tom, off topic but have you had anyone sledge you for using all Ayrtek gear, before finding out who you are/ what company you own? Haha

Bats so far sounds ominous

The first cricket box was used in 1874.  The first cricket helmet was introduced in 1974. So, it took 100 years for men to twig that their brains were also worth protecting.
