Yes last years gloves looked awful, i do prefer these pads to the new ones though ,something a little different.  Reds, i'll probably being playing 2's this year, it's kind of hit and miss as to what you end up playing against, quite a few ex grade levels aussies play in the 1's over here as well as some pretty quick young indian bowlers.  My eyes aren't what they used to be lol, but i still get to play on the home track, and it's a pretty impressive view

FvanN, i got lucky and picked these up dirt cheap in the Pro direct xmas sale, they knock up beautifully well which i was slightly surprised about as some people have found Gary's pressings a bit hard

How many grounds/teams/leagues you got there Sherpa? u must travel a bit to Malaysia and Indonesia then for cricket. I grew up playing cricket (JCA League) in Indonesia, this brings back memories of childhood visits to M&Ms and Jurong bird park if remember the name correctly...thanks for the pics of the kit and field

yes it's as humid as you like, and it can get scorching hot.  I really haven't worked out worked out how many grounds there are , a lot of clubs share, there's probably only 3 grass tracks the rest are artificial, but there's more clubs than i'd figured.  There's basically four main leagues, consisting between 8 teams in the first division to 14 teams in the 4th division, some clubs like the SCC have more than one team in a league, this club actually runs 7 teams.  then there's a whole host of drinking/social teams like the Misfits that i've played on and off for years.  There's a little bit of playing in KL in malaysia, and some more social 6-a-side tours to places like Manilla and Jakarta.  There's certainly enough cricket going on to keep busy
