Lol, you do very cleverly work your way around the forum rules Edward. It must be your incredible charm!

 :D

Well, I don't wish to fall out with the powers that be so if I have done the wrong thing, my apologies. Bit difficult sometimes when trying to fully answer quality questions.

Kind regards

Edward

Edward your insights are one of the highlights of this forum in the last year. If your willingness to share information with us creates issues with sponsoring the forum, I wouldn't worry too much. If people can't see past the pound signs, they do not deserve your presence. :)

Congratulations again on a fine looking range for next season. I make it no secret that I think your bats are too expensive, but I may well be tempted by one over the winter.

Thanks Jon, cricket exemplifies playing by the rules or laws, and conduct on a Forum should carry that mindset from pitch to keyboard.

Yes, there is a price to quality. But then again, there is to shoddy too.

Kind regards

I think also that if anyone is still in doubt, how fortunate we are to have contact with the top man in a situation like this. To have someone so willing to offer advice and help when I am sure he has an awful lot of 'proper' work to do is simply unique.

Although I would never suggest that the forum should take credit for your success, I do see details within the ranges that prove that GM does listen to what the customer wants.

I have nothing but admiration for the current setup, long may it continue.

Now...about that discount... :D

Totally agree!  It's not only the quality of the item, it's the quality of the advice and after sales service ... which from GM, in our experience has always been excellent.  The price will reflect the raw materials, the expert workmanship, and a margin to recover costs, etc, plus some profit.  Same goes for a good cricket retailer.  If you buy shoddy equipment from the back of beyond, then the price to pay may be even higher in the long run.

Well, Kevin our Master Batmaker graces the cover of the GM Book of Cricket 2012 - you colleagues who came around the factory last year met Kevin and all the guys.

I would post a picture but keep getting errors uploading?

Indeed seeing Kevin at work was a opportunity that not everyone gets and we were very lucky to get to see the GM operation in full swing.

Kevin has years of experience and makes a difficult job look very easy due to his skills set he has honed over the years! A few of us got to see some players bats whilst up there and were very impressed by them needless to say.

Some very skilled people working at that factory. The lad who was doing the buffing and toe guards was an absolute machine! Top quality operation down there..

Mr Lowry

Will there be a 2012 GM factory visit arranged?

Really feel like I missed out last time
