Thanks Tom - I think it is some statement to say even your cheapest model is lighter than the main competition - which I am sure the final version will be.

That's an interesting graph, as the guys who have picked up my (admittedly older) Premier Ti have all commented on how light it is, and they have a variety of Masuri, Albion and GM lids.

Is the old Premier, the same construction as the new one?

How much weight would a Ti grill save against a steel?

it is a shame you didn't use that graph in the presentation yesterday, although I realise there was a huge effort not to mention rival manufacturers.
Liam - The difference in Masuri Ti and steel grille's looks to be about 160+grams so we can assume the ayrtek ti is in that region.

So the premier with the Titanium grill could be around the weight of the pro then

Tim...the "Premier" you have is of fibreglass construction whilst the new one is made from an entirely different process and therefore materials. Your one will be lighter than the new premier model due to this.

We realise we cant produce a product that is as light as the Elite/RAW shells in plastics which is what the premier and pro will be made from (all be it a lot more advanced materials than the bog standard "washing up bowl" materials that other choose to use).

Incidentally the RAW Leicester lid that was doing the rounds yesterday weighs in at 591g ;)

As the Elite and RAW shells are hand made there will be some natural variation in the finished weight for which we allow a tolerance of +/- 15g

I have started my Ayrtek fund! Will hopefully have enough by the new year!

Just weighed various grills and helmets, I reckon the Prmeier with Ti grill would come in lighter than masuri steel
