Kookaburra CCX Players Editon Batting Gloves
« on: October 21, 2011, 01:36:35 PM »

Pro version of the CCX gloves. I've wanting a pair for ages but thought only pro's could get them, but just through a random search of 'cricket gloves' through ebay, I came across thse and as soon as I saw them, I wanted them, so I ordered a pair today. Very nice price too, cost me AUD$78, which is very nice.

Their from lorimers, but you can only order them through their ebay page. This is the first and only store I have ever seen these at.

I'm happy that I'll finally get a pair and thought I'd share with you guys as you may want some too.

Over here the top Kookaburra glove prices are (All in $AUD)

Kahuna Players - $145
Blade - $129
CCX 900 - $110
Rogue - $99

So these are cheaper than all of those.

Needless to say, I'm super happy and can't wait to get them.

Thank you for sharing this. I was searching for deals on CCX900 gloves but didn't spot these on ebay because they are not listed with "900" in the title.

I have ordered a pair too. Can recommend Lorimers as a seller.

Recieved gloves this morning, overall very happy, they look very good and have a high quality of finishing and stitching. They are very comfortable as they are pittards although i think they are slightly smaller than normal mens size and i wouldnt expect to get more than a season out of them as i think there made for comfort rather than longevity.  They have a very high level of protection but there is still a slight pulling on the finger tips when gripping the bat probably because they are new.  I was in two minds between these and the puma iradiums 5000 but for £40 i would recommend these to anyone, hope this helps.

Received mine in 3 days. Certainly a unique model and different to the CCX 900 gloves (judging from brochure pictures). Absence of some branding. Pittards leather palms are good quality, soft and extensive, there is more leather area than the CCX 900 and it is a different specification of leather. Mine had "Joe Denly" crossed out on the bag. Yes, they may be slightly smaller than Mens size, I can compare over the weekend as I have Kahuna gloves in both Mens (600) and Small Mens (1000).

Good value at GBP 40. If you have a CCX bat then recommended. These must be the best new matching RH gloves available and CCX range will disappear shortly, if not already.

There are 8 pairs remaining as I write.

Alan i would be very grateful to hear about the sizing, as if they are smaller than Normal mens i dont think they would fit me...

Firstly, some pictures of the CCX players edition batting gloves (comparison with Small Mens Kahuna gloves will follow).
