I bought this bat to sand and find out why its polycoated ?. I removed the stickers and the fake grains stickers, sanded the paint from the back. This is what I got ! Not bad for use as a net bat. It has about 12 grains. I think after stickering up it won't look as bad as now. Not bad tapping against a mallet either.

a decent set of stickers might cover the worst markings.

Stickers and a fibre glass anti scuff and that will be decent...

Will look good if you can get some of that stuff they cover cheap bats in and stick it over the top. Then put some stickers on it

bleaching option makes sense, if you want to show some of the face.

As an update to this, I bought a Kahuna 150 (Printed face) from JJB for £16 to see what it was like underneath. All was well and it was looking ok until I found a hole on the face that had been filled with DIY filler :(    I'll get pics up later.

edit: The bat only weighs 2lb 4oz as well

It's far from pretty but if it goes alright it shouldn't be a problem. To be honest, it's sometimes nice to have a bat you don't have to worry too much about :)
